Describing objects
This is a part of a three-part mini-series sharing my 1999 English assignments from when I first arrived in Australia. The three pieces consist of describing a person, a process, and an object.
Practical, small and light, an off-white in colour, plastic hairdryer with a manufacturer’s recognisable grey letters on its upper part: ‘Breville – Cremona’.
It is in a ’boomerang’ shape with a smooth surface with rounds ends, an upper one becoming wider neat the connection and its length goes out of the corner slightly finishing in greyish scoop-shape forming mesh-like exhaust hole at the back side. Similar mesh opening is on the opposite side along that same part.
The lower part or handle with a ‘high’, ‘low’, and ‘off’ choice option on the left hand side and a ‘hot’, ‘warm’, and ‘cool’ sign on the right side of the switch.
An electric cord about 2m long is at the end of the bottom part but usually it wound around the handle.
